The decision of the Court of Appeal of Genoa refusing the appeal by Banca Regionale Europea (BRE) against the decree of approval of the company’s composition with creditors, issued by the Court of Genoa, is favourable to Italiana Coke. The company received the news today, Wednesday, 1 February, from its lawyers. The claim made by BRE was deemed inadmissible and was entirely dismissed due to a “lack of interest in bringing proceedings”. “We have cleared the field of any possible doubt. This is the second time since December 2016 that the Court has given us its full support on everything,” explains Paolo Cervetti, CEO of Italiana Coke. “Unfortunately, having to wait for the outcome of the appeals has prevented us from proceeding on schedule. We are now confident that we will be able to speed up the plan for the company’s recovery process.”
